Last night was fun. Beating Kershaw in any situation has to give you a little spring to your step. Now tonight is a chance to send the Dodgers to a series loss, and send the "Never-been-west-of-Yuma" fans of theirs home sad.(Unless Ken Kendrick gets to them first.) Tonight we get to see Ian Kennedy take on Korean import Hyun-Jin Ryu. A cursory look at Ryu's wikipedia page notes that he is the first Korean player to come to the United States through the posting system. Remember that for your next pub trivia night. The Dodgers threw about $25 million to his posting fee, and then signed him for 6 years/$36 million. It is up to the Diamondbacks tonight to make that look like an overpay, if you get my meaning, and hopefully avoid any Hadokens that Ryu tosses at them.
Kennedy had a brilliant opening day start against the Cardinals, but was roughed up a little bit against the Brewers in his second start, so perhaps his third start will be good, giving a sort of "reverse-Star-Trek-Movie" odd and even trend. There is reason for hope, as he put up a 0.92 ERA against LA last season.

Aaron Hill is out of the lineup again after being hit by a pitch on Tuesday. Nick Piecoro also reports that Jason Kubel had an MRI on his left quad, results pending at the time of writing. Kirk Gibson suggested that a DL stint could be possible for Kubel, which could clear the way for Cody Ross to make his Diamondbacks debut.
First pitch will be at 5:10 PM.
