Diamondbacks Spring Training: Gameday Thread, #15, vs. White Sox

Kinda wondering if the lawn seats today might still be a little soggy, after yesterday's heavy downpours. May be more to come, with a 40% chance of rain this afternoon, so we'll see how this goes.

One thing I forgot to mention in this morning's round-up is that Tony Campana's spiked hand is expected to keep him out of action for a week or so. That definitely leaves our outfield in a fairly thin state, and it's perhaps not such a bad thing that yesterday's game was cut short. Our first day off isn't until next Thursday, and it'll be interesting to see what happens on Tuesday, when we have a split-squad game: I'm not sure we currently have six healthy outfielders in camp! Still, I imagine we can always pull warm bodies over from the minor-league camp, Or if you're going to those games, bring your glove and look athletic. You never know....

Here's today's Diamondbacks line-up:

  1. Adam Eaton CF
  2. Aaron Hill 2B
  3. Jason Kubel LF
  4. Paul Goldschmidt 1B
  5. Eric Chavez 3B
  6. A.J. Pollock RF
  7. Eric Hinske DH
  8. Wil Nieves C
  9. John McDonald SS
+ pitchers Brandon McCarthy, Zeke Spruill, Starling Peralta, Garrett Mock, Tony Sipp, Matt Reynolds, Eric Smith, Rommie Lewis

Also in this thread: Canada takes on Mexico at Chase Field, and if Canada do not play a HELL of a lot better than they did yesterday, this will be the end of their World Baseball Classic challenge. Mexico, meanwhile, will know that a win will give them an excellent chance of progressing to the second round. Tjhe
