Diamondbacks Send Down Paterson, Campana; Josh Wilson Makes Team

The Diamondbacks made a few roster moves after Friday night's game. Only a few questions remain as to who makes the Opening Day 25-Man Roster.

Pitchers Joe Paterson (RP-L) and Nelson Figueroa (SP-R), along with outfielder Tony Campana and catcher Tuffy Gosewisch, have been sent back to the minor leagues. To be official, Paterson and Campana were 'optioned' to Reno, and Gosewisch and Figueroa were 'reassigned' to minor league camp. This settles the bullpen with Tony Sipp and Matt Reynolds as your two lefties.

Veteran infielder Josh Wilson has been informed he will be with the team on opening day. Wilson's chance comes due to the injury to Willie Bloomquist. This also most likely means that Didi Gregorius will not make the 25-man, but he is still technically with the team and anything is possible.

The 5th starter's position (Patrick Corbin/Randall Delgado) and outfielders will be decided tomorrow. Kevin Towers apparently said the decisions will be made "after the game has been played and the waiver wires have been checked." (via Tyler Lockman)
