Diamondbacks Spring Training: Gameday Thread, #30, vs. Royals

The results have been better of late for the D-backs. Going back to Sunday's double-header, the team are 5-2 in their last seven games, though still haven't broken through the .500 level since the first day of March. Another chance to do so again, up in Surprise.

Diamondbacks line-up:

  1. Gerardo Parra, RF
  2. Martin Prado, LF
  3. Aaron Hill, 2B
  4. Eric Chavez, 3B
  5. Paul Goldschmidt, 1B
  6. Miguel Montero, C
  7. A.J. Pollock, CF
  8. Didi Gregorius, DH
  9. Willie Bloomquist, SS
+ pitchers Randall Delgado, Matt Reynolds, Tony Sipp and Eddie Bonine

So, another possible look at the post-Eaton line-up: this could be a possibility against a left-handed starter with Prado occupying the outfield, Parra in right, and Pollock manning center. On the mound, it's Delgado's penultimate chance, and we'll see what he does, and whether it clarifies the picture for the fifth spot in the rotation. Kansas City have done a pretty good job of mauling Arizona pitching the spring, accumulating 25 runs in the previous two games between the clubs. With nine days until the first game that counts, we'll be looking for much better than that from our arms and defense.
