OFFICIAL: @dbacks OF @adamspankyeaton will miss 6-8 weeks with left elbow UCL sprain
— Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) March 22, 2013
So.... That's not particularly good. As seen here, the team announced that Adam Eaton would be out with a UCL sprain. Eaton was removed from Monday's game against the Dodgers after sliding headfirst into third base. At the time the team said there wasn't any injury, but there is now and it is not good. Hopefully Adam's recovery is on the shorter side of that estimate and we will see him back out there soon!
What this means for the team, however, is that with the calf of Cody Ross not cooperating, the opening day starting outfield may very well be Jason Kubel, A.J Pollock, and Gerardo Parra, with Tony Campana as the probable fourth outfielder. The outfield depth is quickly becoming stretched for the team. We will update you further on this story as soon as new information is released.
