For the Diamondbacks, it's off to the House That Mesa Built this afternoon - or, rather, the House That Mesa Built Before The Residents Demanded Mesa Build Them A Shinier New Palace Because Other Teams Had One And We'll Leave If You Won't.

Diamondbacks line-up for this afternoon

  1. Gerardo Parra CF
  2. Martin Prado 3B
  3. Aaron Hill 2B
  4. Miguel Montero C
  5. Paul Goldschmidt DH
  6. Eric Hinske 1B
  7. Mark Teahen RF
  8. Cliff Pennington SS
  9. Brad Snyder LF
+ Pitchers Trevor Cahill, Patrick Corbin, David Hernandez, Heath Bell, Garrett Mock, Bo Schultz and Evan Marshall

Trevor Cahill is the second-to-last meaningful pitcher to see preseason action, being the 36th pitcher used by the Diamondbacks so far this spring. [In case you're wondering, we still haven't seen J.J. Putz, but that's about par for the preseason course. He played less often than Wade Miley in the Cactus League last year] I assume Hernandez will be David, rather than his brother! The list of pitchers Steve Gilbert snapped for today has both Hernandez's on it, with one in the "in case of emergency" section, but I'd imagine David will be the one seen, given who he's betweeen. Cody Ross was a late drop out from the line-up, apparently with a sore calf, but nothing to worry about.
