After yesterday's pair of near-immaculate pitching duels, will the offenses be any less stifled tonight in Boston?

Yep, the starters tonight combined for a regular season record of 35-4. Not sure there's ever been quite such a match-up in post-season history. Still, they'll have some tough shoes to step into, after the Tigers came within one out of the first combined no-hitter in the playoffs last night, Anibal Sanchez being the very definition of "effectively wild", and Jon Lester was hardly any less effective. I mentioned this on Twitter last night, but it bears repeating, as perhaps an indication of how far the pendulum has swung towards pitching. There were more 1-0 wins yesterday than in all playoff games from 2002-2009 combined.
