There is something genuinely sweet about the fact that tonight's starting line-up for the Diamondbacks includes two players who, less than a year ago, we and about seven other people were watching play in an AFL game at Salt River Fields, and cheering on like mad fools. For tonight marks the major-league debut of Adam Eaton, who is taking the place of Chris Young, the latter apparently having yanked a hamstring in yesterday's debacle fiasco disaster game. We'll be expecting at least three hits and a couple of stolen bases from you, Adam: no pressure there. :)
Clefo on the recap, 'charmer is attending the game, so we're expecting good things. Line-up after the jump.
- Adam Eaton CF
- Aaron Hill 2B
- Justin Upton RF
- Jason Kubel LF
- Paul Goldschmidt 1B
- Miguel Montero C
- Ryan Wheeler 3B
- John McDonald SS
- Adam Kennedy.P
Won't be around for this one. This is due to a pre-arranged event (Covenant at the Nile Theater) rather than Operation Forget The D-backs kicking in to high gear quite yet. I'm actually kinda sad to miss Spanky's major-league debut, because it's always cool to get a glimpse of the future. This next month may well be an audition for a role in the 2013 version of the D-backs - whether that will be a supporting role, or one of the major players... Well, that remains to be seen.
