Snake fell just short, missing out on a post-season spot by 1.5 points. They swept hitting. Soriano homering three times, but managed only one W, despite Axford's four saves. Papelbon had two W and a Save for Lil, and Jones homered three times, but they couldn't avoid relegation.
Mizzoula Osprey 3, Phoenix Platypi 5
The Platypi won the Rumble in the Zoo, and did enough to hold on to the last playoff spot. The offense was powered by five HR and 10 RBI from Hitter of the Week Reynolds, and a 2.80 ERA, with Rodgriguez getting a W + 7 K was enough. Osprey get a bye this week; Dempster got a W + 8 K.
Alabama Slammers 4, soco knows 6
Soco left it late, but lifted themselves out of a relegation spot in the final round, with Greinke's two W and 11 strikeouits a key factor, countering Shields' two W + 13 K for the Slammers. They also got four HR and 13 RBI from Headley; Desmond had two HR and five RBI for the knows.
Blonde Streaks 2, Los Wailoracles 6
Los went down fighting, picking up their first win since Week 12, with a 2.35 collective ERA and three HR from Weeks. Santana picked up 10 K's for them. Blonde got a W + Sv from both Frieri and Romo: W and SB ended tied, at two and four respectively.
Sofa King Juiced 3, The Fighting Amish 6
The Amish were the only one of the top four to win this week, giving them momentum for the playoff rounds. They came within one HR of a hitting sweep, Beltre going deep three times, he and Braun each driving in five. Sofa got a W + 14 K from Darvish, while Nathan picked up three Saves.
Ignatius J. Rallies 8, MyWieterGetzLongoria 1
The Rallies got a clear-cut, morale-boosting win over the team they now face again, in the first round of the post-season. Samardzija's W + 17 K's led their pitching, while Upton and Stanton combined for nine HR. Wieter got three Saves from Holland, but will need much more this week.
Waffles 6, CompleteGameShutout 4
A game with no real implications in either direction went to Waffles: Bruce had four HR and nine RBI, Zimmermann three HR and 10 RBI. Rizzo scored seven Runs with a pair of HR for Complete, and Johnson a Win and seven K's. Waffles countered with Gonzalez's W + nine strikeouts.
