Glad to have dodged yesterday's recap - and, for all intents and purposes, the entire game. After all, this afternoon's contest in Pittsburgh can hardly go any worse, can it. Can it? Hello? Is this thing on? At least we didn't lose any ground, but the Diamondbacks' hopes of post-season play are back on life-support, as a result of the current three-game losing streak. We really need to play better in all aspects of the game, with the honorable exception of our starting pitching, which is now 7-for-7 in quality starts on this road-trip. Hopefully, the rest of the team will play up to that level, rather than dragging Corbin down to theirs.
I'll be recapping...probably. Line-up and explanation after the jump.
- Stephen Drew SS
- Aaron Hill 2B
- Jason Kubel LF
- Paul Goldschmidt 1B
- Justin Upton RF
- Miguel Montero C
- Chris Johnson 3B
- Gerardo Parra CF
- Patrick Corbin.P
I've got to be out of the house by 7:30 tonight, as I'm going in to the office to help with our big move to a new building in Tempe [sob: no more free parking near Chase!]. As a result, I'll be writing the game up as this goes, but if it runs long, the bells and whistles may be brought to you by 'charmer. Here's to a crisp 2:33 contest like yesterdays. Just with a different outcome.
