It has been a long while since the Diamondbacks have lost seven in a row - more than two years, in fact, with the last such streak coming from July 22-29, 2010. But if they're going to avoid one here, they're going to need to go through Kershaw and the Dodgers to do so. That's perhaps not as frightening a proposition as it might initially seem: after being blanked by Kershaw in his previous two outings, Arizona handled him quite well the last time they met at the start of July, tagging him for five runs in 5.1 innings. And Los Angeles haven't exactly surged since the mega-deal with Boston, going 2-3; after homering in his first at-bat, Adrian Gonzalez is 4-for-19 since.

Still, the way our offense has been playing, this is still a challenge... soco on the recap, line-up for AZ after the jump

  1. Aaron Hill 2B
  2. Jake Elmore SS
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Paul Goldschmidt 1B
  5. Miguel Montero C
  6. Chris Young CF
  7. Gerardo Parra LF
  8. John McDonald 3B
  9. Ian Kennedy P

Things shaken up a bit., with Hillraiser batting leadoff, J-Up back in the #3 spot and J-Mac starting at third. Will it have an effect, or is it just re-arranging deckchairs on the Titanic?
