We went to Philadelphia last August too, and it was a bit of a mixed bag. We beat Halladay in the opener, and seemed unstoppable, extending our lead to 3.5 games. But we dropped the next two, starting a six-game losing streak, the longest of the season, that came perilously close to derailing us. We're fresh off devastating Dodger demolition, but this could be as much of a trap series as the Cubs one which followed our previous sweep of Los Angeles, just after the All-Star break. Decimated though the Phillies are - I hear they're even putting the Phanatic through waivers - their pitching can still be dangerous. To whom, we'll see...

Line-up - and, perhaps as important, weather forecast - after the jump.

  1. Stephen Drew SS
  2. Aaron Hill 2B
  3. Jason Kubel LF
  4. Paul Goldschmidt 1B
  5. Justin Upton RF
  6. Miguel Montero C
  7. Chris Johnson 3B
  8. Chris Young CF
  9. Ian Kennedy P

Only the second time since 2009 that Young finds himself starting in the 8th spot [the other time was June 28th against the Braves]. Still no sign of Bloomquist, but not clear if this was a tactical decision or if his back is still bothering him - his last appearance was July 29th. Batting practice was canceled in Philadelphia due to rain, and Jody Jackson reports that's still the case as of late, but no official word on a delay. Forecast shows there is a chance of a thunderstorm hitting, so we'll keep an eye on that as we get closer to game time.
