No matter what happens in the game today, it already feels like a win, courtesy of the delightful 50-game suspension handed down to the Giants' Melky Cabrera, for doping exploits to which he has basically 'fessed up entirely. Be nice if MLB would vacate four wins or so from the Giants' total - that being the difference between Cabrera's production this season and his average fWAR from 2005-2010. Seems a bit unlikely, so I guess I'll just have to console myself with another large glass of Giants fans' tears. They're quite delicious: I find a nice mild Stilton goes particularly well with them, countering the harsh sourness of bitter loss and denial.
