SnakePit Fantasy Baseball: Week 14

Here are this week's quick results: details and more are after the jump. Managers should note that because of the four day All-Star break, the shortened week following the All-Star Game has been combined with the one after. As a result, Week 15 will run from July 9-22, and there'll be no report next Monday.

AZ SnakePit 4, Mizzoula Osprey 6
Alabama Slammers 8, MyWieterGetzLongoria 2
Blonde Streaks 3, Waffles 7
Sofa King Juiced 2, Ignatius J. Rallies 6
The Fighting Amish 10, Lil Bitches 0
Los Wailoracles 3, Phoenix Platypi 5

AZ SnakePit 4, Mizzoula Osprey 6
Snake had hitter of the Week McCutchen (nine RBI, 11 R, .517), with support from Cabrera's two home-runs and nine driven in, but couldn't withstand a barrage of Mizzoula arms, who swept pitching. Hanson had a W + 14 K's, Jansen saved three, and at the plate McCann had four HR and nine RBI.

Alabama Slammers 8, MyWieterGetzLongoria 2
The Slammers also picked up all five pitching points, Jurrjens getting two of the seven Wins, with Capuano striking out 11. Pitcher of the Week Weaver got two W for Wieter, who did better on offense. There, Kubel and Trout each had three HR, but Teixeira's seven Runs and ten RBI let Alabama keep pace.

Blonde Streaks 3, Waffles 7
Rios and Walker each homered twice and drove in seven for Waffles, but it was their pitching which powered the overall win, with Lee picking up a Win and nine strikeouts. Betancourt notched three Saves for Blonde, and Craig (two HR, six RBI) led their offense, but in a losing cause.

Sofa King Juiced 2, Ignatius J. Rallies 6
Sofa suffered a reversal at the hands of the Rallies, their usually reliable pitching managing only two W and a 5.12 ERA. Ignatius took full advantage, behind Samardzija's Win and 15 K's: Chen struck out 14 for Sofa. Upton (Rallies), Reddick and Trumbo (both Sofa) homered twice, but Sofa's .227 BA proved fatal.

The Fighting Amish 10, Lil Bitches 0
And boom goes the Amishmite, though this was more an ineffectual performance from Lil, who managed one W and scored 24 runs on the week: would have been worse, save for Holliday's two HR and seven RBI. Braun had two HR for Fighting, who also got a W and seven K's from Verlander.

Los Wailoracles 3, Phoenix Platypi 5
The Platypi got the third pitching sweep of the week, with Johnson saving three and Burnett getting a Win and ten strikeouts. They didn't win any hitting categories, but the ties in R and SB gave them overall victory. Rasmus and Hamilton had two HR for them; Weeks and Wright the same for Los.

soco knows 4, CompleteGameShutout 5
The week's closest game went to Complete, by dint of a tie in SB. They had the edge in pitching with Lester fanning 15 and Hernandez 14. However, soco struck back with the lumber, Fielder and Youkils each having three HR and 10 RBI. Rizzo had three HR for soco, but Desmond's three SB for Complete were crucial.
