The D-backs have a chance to go for their season-best sixth win in a row this evening, by completing the sweep over the Rockies. It has been a streak largely powered by the offense: over that time, the team has averaged nine runs per game, with a collective line of .341/.431/.599 for a 1.030 OPS. But the pitching has done its part as well, with a 3.20 ERA and holding the opposition to three runs or less in four of the five contests. Okay, so were have done so against arguably the two worst teams in the league. But even very bad baseball teams will win at least one game in three, so if we can go 6-0 here, that's still an achievement.

Line-up and stuff after the jump.

  1. Stephen Drew SS
  2. Willie Bloomquist 3B
  3. Jason Kubel LF
  4. Paul Goldschmidt 1B
  5. Justin Upton RF
  6. Miguel Montero C
  7. Chris Young CF
  8. John McDonald 2B
  9. Trevor Cahill P

Giants have already lost - Jason Marquis beating Tim Lincecum, tee-hee! Oh, how the mighty have fallen... Elsewhere, the Dodgers and Cardinals are in progress (tied in the fourth), and Ryan Roberts has hit his first home-run for Tampa, and has scored three runs for them in his debut. So, Willie: we'll expect nothing less than that from you tonight...
