Starting next week there's going to be a change of format regarding Fan Confidence. I'm sure you really don't care about gory details, so here's the sitch, Melody Bostic:

I'm going to attempt an experiment, but I need your help. If you haven't noticed before, at the end of these Fan Confidence posts is always a little poll where you can submit your feelings for that week as a number. I've always felt that was a little vague, paradoxically so, given that numbers are a great way to measure.

Instead, or I should say in addition to the Fan Confidence poll, I'm going to draw from the deep well of social media. If you have a Twitter account, I want to hear from you. If you have a Facebook account, write something on AZ Snakepit's wall on occasion. And every week I'll pick some of the funny, interesting comments.

So there's three ways to participate:

  1. Post on the AZ Snakepit Facebook page's wall.
  2. Post on Twitter using the hashtag: #dbacksconfidence
  3. Follow @azfanconfidence and I'll have the account follow you back (which will make it easy to even pick up things not tagged)

Of course, I'll be monitoring the usual #dbacks and other tags, so if you forget then I wouldn't worry. Hopefully it can be something fun for people to participate in without having to do much more than what they were already doing. And it might give us a better look at how the fanbase is feeling at a given moment.

If you have any suggestions, leave them in the comments.
