SnakePit Fantasy Baseball, Week 15

An extra-long round of contests, leading to some extra-impressive final tallies in the SnakePit league this week. Here are the quick results, with details, standings and the upcoming slate after the jump.

AZ SnakePit 2, Alabama Slammers 8
Bit of a slugfest, with both teams hitting over .300 and combining for 36 HR + 115 R. Cabrera had five homers for AZ, but Teixeira, Cespedes and Pujols combined for 12 and 29 RBI for Alabama. Fister added two Wins and 18 strikeouts for them, while Lincecum fanned 17 on Snake's tab.

Mizzoula Osprey 8, CompleteGameShutout 1
The Osprey swept pitching, getting 25 strikeouts from Liriano plus three Saves apiece from Jansen and Casila, though Hernandez and Price each got two W + 15 K for Complete. Offense was slightly-less one-sided, McCann (Osprey) and Jones (Shutout) each homering three times.

Blonde Streaks 2. MyWieterGetzLongoria 8
Wieter's offense was driven by co-Hitter of the Week Kubel (six HR, 11 RBI) and Trout (11 R, .452), and they also picked up five Saves from Hanrahan, and two Wins from Weave. Streaks just couldn't keep up, reliever Clippard getting 11 K to go with two saves. The win moved Wieter up to third spot.

Sofa King Juiced 4, Waffles 6
Waffles pulled off the shock of this round, helped by co-Hitter of the Week Zimmerman (six HR, .476), as they edged the more highly-ranked Sofa on both hitting and pitching. Wilhelmsen gof three Saves. Sofa piled up 105 K, led by Darvish's 15, and Trumbo added five home-runs in a losing cause.

The Fighting Amish 7, Ignatius J. Rallies 3
The Amish swept pitching, getting two wins apiece from Cueto and Verlander, plus four saves from Soriano. Miley and Cook got two W for Rallies; the latter, also notched two saves. Alvarez (Rallies) led all hitters, with five HR and eight RBI, but Beltre and Morse each drove in seven, helping the Amish hold on.

Los Wailoracles 3, Lil Bitches 5
HR and W ended tied in this pitching duel, both teams posting sub-three ERAs. Los got two Wins from Zimmermann, while Papelbon saved three for Lil. At the plate, Encarnacion had three HR and drove in nine for them, while C. Gonzalez drove in eight. A. Gonzalez had three HR + 13 RBI for Los.

soco knows 2, Phoenix Platypi 8
Soco had Pitcher of the Week Chapman (six Sv, 0.00 ERA, 15 K), but struggled otherwise; the Platypi got two W from Parker, plus four Sv by Johnson. Posey led their hitters, driving in 13 runs and hitting .486, with backup from Rasmus (six R, seven RBI). Youkilis had two HR and scored six times for soco.

No problem deciding this round's Game of the Week, the top two teams facing off as the Osprey take on the Slammers. When the two sides met in the third round of contests, Alabama came out on top, winning handily by a score of 8-2, behind Napoli's five home-runs.
