So I'm back, after a couple of days largely off-grid, celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. Did you miss me? Seems the Diamondbacks' offense didn't, scoring 25 runs over two games, a number not surpassed since the very end of the 2002 season, when they hammered the Rockies 17-8 and 11-8. Maybe I should stay away? Of course, this was against the Astros, who have now gone 10-40 on the road this year: but we'll still take it. We now go for the sweep, as we try to climb back to within one game of .500, before the Rockies arrive in town tomorrow.

Line-up after the jump. ish95 is your scheduled guest-recapper, so stick around for that.

  1. Gerardo Parra RF
  2. Stephen Drew SS
  3. Aaron Hill 2B
  4. Jason Kubel LF
  5. Miguel Montero C
  6. Chris Young CF
  7. Lyle Overbay 1B
  8. Ryan Wheeler 3B
  9. Josh Collmenter RHP

I was almost surprised to see Kubel's name in the line-up today - y'know, #gibbyball - but he does retain his spot. However, it's still in effect, as there are no spots for Justin Upton, Paul Goldschmidt or Willie Bloomquist, who combined to reach base safely nine times yesterday. That said, I still feel fairly confident we can finish off the sweep, largely because the past two games have shown exactly why the Astros have the worst record in the majors. If we can't beat them, we shouldn't even be thinking about the post-season. Somehow, only two out of three would feel more like a defeat.
