Last night was a bit of a laugher, eh? After a potentially demoralizing collapse against the Reds on Thursday, the Diamondbacks came back last night swinging, curb stomping the Astros for 13 runs. The Astros were, as the Kids say, 'clapt up.'
Tonight the Diamondbacks hope to inflict more of the same, while the Astros hope to be the Not Astros. A win from the home team ensures another series victory, but let's be frank that anything less than a sweep isn't going to be good enough. The D-backs need to show their killer instinct.
I think it's a bit strange that a guy named Dallas is pitching for Houston. In my head, Dallas and Houston have a long, bitter city-state conflict, one that can only inevitable lead to mutual destruction. Mr. Keuchel has betrayed his own people! He must be brought before the dikasts for trial, where he will be charged with corrupting the populace!
Okay, perhaps it's premature to assume that the Astros lefty has any Socratic aspirations. I haven't yet heard his theories of justice, but if there's any justice in the Diamondbacks' world, he'll fall to Wade Miley tonight.
