Today is the earliest start of the season, and I'm glad they don't make a habit of this. I believe the game isn't on either local station, so I imagine MLB/.tv will be the only way to go - and, of course, that will only be possible for those not in either market. Not likely to be much of an audience for this one, I suspect. However, the D-backs have already assured themselves of a split of the four-game set. If they can win today, it'll mean the road-trip finished 3-4, which is a good deal better than seemed likely after we were swept in Chicago. Whether they do or not is in the hands of Saunders and the rest of the team...
Line-up after the jump, soco on the recap, with 'charmer's Trends to follow later.

Stephen Drew and Miguel Montero get the day off, and Young is back at CF for Arizona. At least the lack of a broadcast means we won't have to be reminded every other pitch of how Mike Leake went to ASU. We faced Leake twice last season, and though his record was 1-0, Arizona hit him pretty hard, tagging him for nine earned runs in 11.2 innings. Hopefully we can sneak away with a quick victory today, and return to Phoenix with a series win, for the ten-game homestand which follows.
