D-backs broadcaster Jeff Munn visited the popular local fast-food chain Skyline Chili earlier today and President Barack Obama walked in…Obama was in Cincinnati for a campaign event…Obama, a well-known White Sox fan, told Munn he "hated to hear" that the D-backs had been swept by the Cubs. Munn had previously met George H.W. Bush when he was Vice President and was on D-backs White House visit after winning the 2001 World Series with George W. Bush.

So there's that... Will this be our Rally (non-traffic) Obama? Stay tuned for the recap, which I'll be bringing you after the game. Beyond the jump, a tectonic shift in the D-backs batting order may be seen...

  1. Stephen Drew SS
  2. Willie Bloomquist 3B
  3. Justin Up... WTF, my mistake: Aaron Hill 2B
  4. Miguel Montero C
  5. Justin Upton RF
  6. Lyle Overbay 1B
  7. Chris Young CF
  8. Gerardo Parra LF
  9. Wade Miley P

Yes, Upton has finally been moved out of the three-hole - I guess the 0-for-10 series in Chicago was the last straw, but J-Up's line over 13 games since the start of the Brewers series on June 29 is .184/.259/.306. Longer term, Upton has only two home-runs in 38 games and 146 at-bats since May 27, with a .709 OPS. Should have happened a while ago, I'd say: we'll see whether the change takes some of the pressure off Justin.
