It's been a long time coming and Stephen Drew at last played in his first professional game since badly injuring his ankle a little less than a year ago. He played 9 innings in Reno's come-from-behind win in 12 innings over Tucson. Drew went 1 for 4 before being replaced in the bottom of the 9th. An interesting side note in the game was Micah Owings pinch-hitting in the bottom of the 8th for Tucson and promptly doubling. Visalia lost a pitcher's duel to Bakersfield and South Bend scored a walk-off win over Great Lakes. Mobile was rained out.

Triple A: Reno 4 @ Tucson 2 (12 Inn) Plenty of excitement in Tucson a day in advance of Trevor Bauer's much anticipated Friday in-state start. Stephen Drew made his first rehab start in nearly a year and went 1 for 4 before being replaced in the bottom of the 9th. The Aces found another way to win by scoring two in the top of the 9th to tie the game, and two more in the top of the 12th to win it. Barry Enright had another very solid start pitching 7 innings while allowing just 2 solo homers. Micah Owings pinch-hit for Tuscon and stroked a double. Sam Demel pitched a scoreless 11th and 12th while striking out 3 to gain the victory. The Dynamic Duo of Eaton and Elmore went just 1 for 5 and 1 for 6 respectively to lower their averages to .394 and .393. A.J. Pollock went 2 for 6 with a double after playing in Phoenix for the major league club the night before.

High A: Visalia 1 @ Bakersfield 3 Anthony Meo took the hill for the Rawhide and was engaged in a terrific pitcher's duel until the 7th when Bakersfield scratched out a pair and closed out the game to win 3-1. Bobby Borchering hit a solo homer in the top of the 6th (his 10th) to tie the game at 1. Meo was solid in pitching 6.1 innings and allowed 3 hits, 4 walks and 3 earned runs. He struck out 5. Visalia hitters were 0 for 9 with runners in scoring position.

Low A: South Bend 6 Great Lakes 5 South Bend won in walk-off style by scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th to win 6-5 over Great Lakes. The Silver Hawks entered the 9th trailing 5-4 when Tom Belza singled and Gerson Montilla and Matt Helm hit back-to-back doubles to complete the comeback. Jesse Darrah had an excellent start going 6 innings while surrendering just 3 hits and 3 runs, only one of which was earned. He struck out 4. Montilla and Helm each had a pair of hits which included their game-winning doubles.
