So it's back to Milwaukee, where last October, the Diamondbacks' season came to a heroic, yet heartbreaking end, in extra innings of a winner-take-all game against the Brewers in the National League Division Series. It's interesting to note that, if the season ended today, none of last year's NL playoff teams would be in the post-season, even with the additional wild-card spot. Indeed, of the ten teams to go on, only two were part of the 2011 playoffs, the Yankees and Rangers. Something something competitive balance? But let's wait for the 85 or so games left before proclaiming winners and losers.

'charmer on a regularly-scheduled recap, I believe. Line-up and stuff after the jump.

  1. Willie Bloomquist SS
  2. Aaron Hill 2B
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Jason Kubel LF
  5. Paul Goldschmidt 1B
  6. Chris Young CF
  7. Ryan Roberts 3B
  8. Henry Blanco C
  9. Ian Kennedy.P

Oh, look - a Blanco sighting. It'll only be his fourth game of the month. Mind you, given he is 5-for-32 this year, with a .369 OPS, he hasn't exactly been forcing his way into the line-up. Kennedy should be in line for a good game, having been alternating good and bad starts this month. And the D-backs showed yesterday that they do still know how to win on the road, thank you very much. Keeping this up against a mediocre Milwaukee team and staying above .500, should be possible.
