SnakePit Fantasy Baseball: Week 12

A lot of close games this week, with no team scoring more than six points. As a result, not much change in the standings, but last year's champions, Mizzoula, do have sole possession of first place. Here are the quick results: details and standings after the jump

AZ SnakePit 5, MyWieterGetzLongoria 5
Mizzoula Osprey 6, Waffles 3
Alabama Slammers 4, Ignatius J. Rallies 6
Blonde Streaks 5, Lil Bitches 4
Sofa King Juiced 5, Phoenix Platypi 5
The Fighting Amish 4, soco knows 5
Los Wailoracles 5, CompleteGameShutout 3

AZ SnakePit 5, MyWieterGetzLongoria 5
A well-balanced game saw Snake edge hitting, but Longoria did the same on the mound, despite a lack of wins - two, a tally matched by AZ's Harrison. Wieter got a W + 6 K from Oswalt, and will be looking forward to Bauer on Thursday. Kubel (Wieter) and Cabrera (Snake) each had three HR.

Mizzoula Osprey 6, Waffles 3
The Osprey fell one W short of a pitching sweep, behind Dickey's Win and 16 strikeouts; Hammel got a W + 10 K's. Things were closer at the plate, where the AZ pair of Montero and Upton combined to deliver 21 RBI this week for Waffles. Teammate Goldschmidt had two HR + eight Runs for Mizzoula.

Alabama Slammers 4, Ignatius J. Rallies 6
The Rallies' 15 home-runs led the league, with Hitter of the Week Bautista (four HR, eight RBI) leading the way; Rollins had three, as did Hill for Alabama. Ignatius also had Pitcher of the Week Miley (two W, 15 K, 1.20 ERA), countering a Win and ten strikeouts for the Slammers from Strasburg.

Blonde Streaks 5, Lil Bitches 4
Neither side managed more than a couple of W, and the tie there was enough for Blonde - both Lil's were vultured by Papelbon, while the Streaks got a W + 13 K from Sabathia and three Sv by Clippard. Lil enjoyed four HR from Encarnacion, but six RBI by Ortiz gave that category, and victory, to the Streaks.

Sofa King Juiced 5, Phoenix Platypi 5
Sofa's usually-reliable pitching imploded, three starters having ERAs in double figures, though Nathan Saved three. Hamels had a W and 14 K for the Platypi, who also got three home-runs from Rasmus, with eight driven in. Reddick and Trumbo both went deep twice on Juice's account, to help earn a split.

The Fighting Amish 4, soco knows 5
soco enjoyed strong peripherals, hitting .337, plus a 2.33 ERA and 0.81 WHIP. Middlebrook also homered three times with 10 RBI, to edge HR by one and earn a crucial tie in the latter category. Verlander picked up two Wins and 10 K's for the Amish, with Beltre producing a pair of home-runs.

Los Wailoracles 5, CompleteGameShutout 3
Los didn't get a win, but their pitching staff (or what's left of them - only four threw last week) did have a 0.69 WHIP and 1.77 ERA , enough to get them to victory: Santana fanned ten. Price had two Wins and 12 K's for Complete, as well as four HR from Cano; Wailoracles countered with three HR by Heyward
