As grimmy01 noted in the comments last night, attendance for the D-backs reached a million yesterday, five home games before the point at which they did it in 2011. The average crowd for Arizona is up 4,864 compared to the same games last season - that's an increase behind only Miami, Washington and Atlanta in the National League. However, attendance all over is pretty healthy - 20 teams are up to some extent or another., and overall, crowds are up by about eight percent. Would seem perhaps to be a sign that the economy is on its way back after the rough couple of years.

Scottyyy is on the guest recap this afternoon, so stick around for that. I won't be about, as the viewing panel are coming over to have a session watching submissions for our film fest. I leave the sweep in your capable hands. Line-up after the jump.

  1. Gerardo Parra CF
  2. Aaron Hill 2B
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Jason Kubel LF
  5. Miguel Montero C
  6. Lyle Overbay 1B
  7. Ryan Roberts 3B
  8. John McDonald SS
  9. Wade Miley P

Things get switched up a bit. Parra is in for Chris Young, who continues to struggle dreadfull: CY is hitting .147 in 28 games since coming back off the DL, and if anything, is getting worse. Over the past two weeks, Young is an awful 4-for-42 with a K:BB ratio of 14:2 and an OPS of .303. On this basis, Young might find his only starts being against left-hander pitchers. Paul Goldschmidt and Willie Bloomquist are also given the day off, and good to see Miggy back in there, apparently suffering no ill effects from his plunking on the wrist yesterday.
