Hope you had a nice off-day - or, if you were like me, felt uncomfortably like there was something missing from your life around 6:40 pm. Such is the life of the devoted fan, lurking on the edge of a pennant race. Oh, and if you're wondering, the Dodgers are now 19-16 when Matt Kemp doesn't start, compared to 23-12 when he does. They travel down the freeway to Anaheim this weekend, so Arizona should have a good chance to close the gap between them and LA over the next few days. But let's worry less about them, and more about putting a beating on the Cubs here.

Line-up after the jump; the recap schedule says BattleMoses, but I'm not sure of anything any longer. ;)

  1. Willie Bloomquist SS
  2. Aaron Hill 2B
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Jason Kubel LF
  5. Paul Goldschmidt 1B
  6. Miguel Montero C
  7. Chris Young CF
  8. Ryan Roberts 3B
  9. Joe Saunders P

I see this is the only non-interleague game this weekend, which is a shame, because I enjoyed a) watching AL pitchers try to hit, and b) reading AL fans whine about AL pitchers trying to hit. On the other hand, be nice if our pitching staff can keep the runs allowed below the nine or more allowed in most games of the Seattle series. I'm hopeful that'll be the case. Be careful if you're at Chase, because... Well, y'know. Bears.
