Special treat for you tonight. We're letting Zavada's Moustache out of the "Series Previews" level of the SnakePit underground bunker, and giving him tonight's recap, as a reward for good behavior. I'm not quite sure what the results will be like, but I'm looking forward to seeing them. Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks will be attempting to climb back up towards .500: scoring some, what I like to call, "runs", would probably be a good start. I am available to explain the underlying concept, which seems to have been forgotten by our offense over the past 20+ innings.
Songbird is attending the game, courtesy of our SnakePit season ticket benefactor., so hopefully she'll get to see some, what I call, "scoring by the Diamondbacks.". Line-up after the jump.
- Willie Bloomquist SS
- Aaron Hill 2B
- Justin Upton RF
- Jason Kubel LF
- Paul Goldschmidt 1B
- Miguel Montero C
- Chris Young CF
- Josh Bell 3B
- Wade Miley P
#Dbacks SS Drew could come back as part-time player, Gibson said today. Play 1 in 3, be available off bench in others.

To borrow a pro-wrestling meme: "Yes! Yes! Yes!" So much this. Anything to get Bell off the roster. In fact, "not playing at all" would still constitute a significant improvement by Drew. Look, I know Ryan Roberts hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire, but his OPS is 160 points better than Bell. Which, to give you some idea, is about the margin by which Andrew McCutchen has out-produced Chris Young this season. DOOOOOO IT!
Hope the D-backs win. Better post this before 'charmer gets concerned...
