The Diamondbacks have been shut out three times this season. In the games following the first two shutouts, they have outscored the opposition by a combined score of 23-3. If that trend continues, we're going to blow past the Angels this afternoon, and return home to Arizona with a split of the six games against the top sides the AL West has to offer. Which would be be quite satisfactory, I think. Of course, there's that little word, "if". We need a good performance from Ian Kennedy and, at the risk of stating the bleedin' obvious, more than one hit would probably be quite helpful in this regard.

hotclaws will be your recapper for this one, and we'll see you for that/ :Line-up after the jump.

  1. Willie Bloomquist SS
  2. Jason Kubel DH
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Miguel Montero C
  5. Paul Goldschmidt 1B
  6. Chris Young CF
  7. Aaron Hill 2B
  8. Gerardo Parra LF
  9. Josh Bell 3B
    + Ian Kennedy P

Bloomquist back at leadoff, and given Chris Young went 1-for-13 in the lead-off spot over the past three games, it's hard to argue a change is necessary. Bell gets the start at third in place of Ryan Roberts. Meh. But hopefully, it'll be enough to get us back to .500 once more.
