It has been a while since we've been to Angel Stadium. Indeed, last time, it wasn't Angel Stadium but Edison Field, and these were the simple Anaheim Angels, without Los Angeles to be found anywhere. Except, I guess, in Los Angeles. It was almost eleven years ago, back in July 2001 - back when Mike Trout was just nine, but probably already being overlooked in favor of Bryce Harper. Throw in Haren's first start against us - not forgetting he dominated us in spring, striking out seven in three innings - and there's some interesting story-lines for tonight.

Wailord on the recap tonight. I think. Not sure if there was any carry-forward from 'charmer's absence last weekend. But the schedule says Wailord, so I'm going with that.

  1. Chris Young CF
  2. Jason Kubel DH
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Miguel Montero C
  5. Aaron Hill 2B
  6. Lyle Overbay 1B
  7. Ryan Roberts 3B
  8. Gerardo Parra LF
  9. John McDonald SS
    + Trevor Cahill.P

I'd have to check and see how many games McDonald has started with Cahill on the bump. It seems like a natural choice - groundballer + best infield defense - but I'm not sure how often it has happened. Yesterday showed us that the offense did actually come on this road-trip,. which seemed uncertain over the first couple of games in Texas. Let's just hope they don't show up two days late in Anaheim.
