The first event is in the same vein as SnakePitTowers fest, but will be held at DBacksSkins and jinnah's new apartment. For an exact address of their dwelling please e-mail jinnahbee <at> gmail <dot> com. Folks will gather and admire the coffee table I put together and watch the Diamondbacks take on the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Azuza, and Oxnard. First pitch for that game is at 12:35 PM Arizona time. I have been asked by jinnah to tell you that you should not show up more than an hour before the game or so, as any earlier and there may be unshowered and bleary eyed people around and your safety is not guaranteed.
Jinnah will have enough food for everybody, but if you want alcohol/any other sort of special food you will have to bring it yourself. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments.
The second event (because we're greedy) is a Triple-A game down in Tucson involving the Reno Aces and the Tucson Padres at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium. (Previously Tucson Electric Park. 2500 E. Ajo Way Tucson, AZ USA 85713) The July 19th game is the last in a four game series, and was the final choice due to the fact that the D'Backs play a day game in Cincinnati earlier in that day and so nobody will be missing out on any baseball on that day.
For those who may enjoy such things, Thursday nights for every Tucson minor league team for the past few years is "Thirsty Thursday", which means beverages (read: beer) are only $1, so while the Padres are dead last in the Pacific Coast League in attendance, there are generally more people around on Thursdays. If you do plan to consume lots of cheap beer, be sure to have a designated driver type person handy.
Tickets can be purchased here. Purchasing the $7 General Admission tickets will be ideal, that way we can easily form a clump somewhere and yell rude things at Kyle Blanks, or whoever is down there.
I or somebody else will be posting reminders closer to both of these events. Again, if you have any questions, please leave them in the comments. Happy Festing!
