Phew. That was close. We had an electrician over at SnakePit Towers, after one of our electrical outlets went a bit wrong. Well, when I say "a bit wrong", it was a little more than that, but I hate to use alarmist language like "on fire"... Anyway, for some reason, he insisted on turning the electricity off to replace the sockets - sheesh, some people have just no consideration - but everything was completed and power restored, before the inhabitants regressed into a state of barbarism and chaos. SnakePit Jr. is still running around with a pig's head on a stick. Not sure what that's all about.

Anyway, what looked like an imminent SnakePit riot in the middle of the third inning last night turned out okay. We can take the series behind the returning Hudson, if he is able to stave off a Wolf attack. imstillhungry95 will be your guest recapper, so stick around for that. Line-up and stuff after the jump.

  1. Willie Bloomquist SS
  2. Aaron Hill 2B
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Chris Young CF
  5. Jason Kubel LF
  6. Paul Goldschmidt 1B
  7. Ryan Roberts 3B
  8. Henry Blanco C
  9. Daniel Hudson P

As expected, Konrad Schmidt was optioned down to Reno, to make room on the roster for Hudson. Montro gets one more day, but should be available to start tomorrow, and off the bench today if necessary (though I sense more to pinch-hit than catch, perhaps). No room for Gerardo Parra, despite a four-hit game last night. #gibbyball. Keen to see how Hudson does; with Kennedy struggling, and Saunders and Cahill being pretty "meh" of late, I really hope he can step up and carry the rotation this afternoon. Wolf has largely struggled this year, so I feel somewhat optimistic, but it has been so long since we've won a home series, I'm not committing myself.
