2006: The D-backs turned a double play in their 14th straight game, and it helped them a 7-3 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates at Chase Field. It came in the seventh inning, Brandon Medders getting pinch-hitter Craig Wilson to hit into the twin killing. Conor Jackson and Johnny Estrada each homered for the Diamondbacks and had two hits, while Craig Counsell and Chad Tracy also enjoyed multi-hit games for Arizona. Claudio Vargas got the win, allowing two earned runs in his six innings of work.

2006: The Arizona Diamondbacks released Neal Musser.Yeah, look uo "slow news day" in the dictionary, and you'd probably find a picture of this date. Musser has been somebody, being a second-round pick of the Mets in 1999, but never lived up to that promise. He had a 5.45 ERA for Tucson before Arizona decided to let him go; He did reach the majors with the Royals in 2007-08, but was last heard of playing indy ball in 2010.
- 2008: Ah, here's something actually worth commemorating. Doug Davis made his first start after returning from thyroid cancer surgery. He was thoroughly dominant in an 11-1 win over the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field, allowing one run on five hits and two walks over seven innings, with four strikeouts. Arizona jumped on top early, with a five-run first, and used the long ball, five players getting home-runs. Chris Young was one, finishing the day with two hits and three runs driven in.
- 2011: An off-day for the Diamondbacks, as they traveled from Phoenix to Denver, in preparation for their upcoming series against the Rockies.
