No Miggy in the line-up, and seems doubtful we'll see him tomorrow either, as the team tries to avoid the need to put him on the DL. Hence the promotion of Konrad Schmidt from Reno, to act as a short-term backup to Machete over the next few days. The team can use Daniel Hudson's roster spot for that purpose, until it's needed on Sunday. We also get to see Roberts playing second-base, which seems to be the expressed aim, putting him more into a utility role, rather than a third-baseman. That means Gibson's fever can only be cured by more Josh Bell.
There's a doubling up of Arizona vs. Los Angeles, with the Phoenix Coyotes also playing tonight, and seeking to stave off elimination for a second time at Jobing.com Arena tonight. Let's hope both teams can inspire each other and play well.
