Earth Day, so that means I'm hearing the dulcet tones of David Attenborough coming from the living-room, punctuated by Mrs. Snakepit alternately a) cooing over some adorable baby creature, and b) shrieking in horror as it gets eaten by a passing predator. I'm sure this is a metaphor for something, but I'm not sure what. Hopefully, this afternoon, we'll be playing the part of the skua and the Braves will be the baby stormy petrel. We could do with a break, the baseball gods having had their foot on our throats for most of the past week.
Line-up and thoughts after the jump. SenSurround is guestcapping this one, so stick around for that.

Ryan Roberts gets what can only be described as a mental-health day off, given his struggles, with Ransom starting at third. Yesterday was a much improved performance from the D-backs, only losing out narrowly to the Braves: be nice if they could avoid a four-game sweep at home, regardless of the opposition. The team has only had one six-game losing streak at Chase since 2006, when they did so in May 2010. But the offense was hitting a bit better there, with 15 runs in the six games, compared to ten over five here. There were some signs of life for AZ though, so I'd like to see us continue going in the right direction.
It looked for a bit that Charles Brewer might have been getting called up to replace Daniel Hudson, as he was mysteriously absent from the Mobile mound this afternoon for his scheduled start. However, it appears that, while he has indeed been promoted, it's to Reno where he'll be starting this afternoon. Cross that one off the list.
