Despite the discouraging news about Justin Upton, it's perhaps something of a relief to hear that there is a genuine issue, and that the team are taking pro-active action to address the problem. Better than the vague notion of something not quite right, continuing to reflect itself in disappointing numbers. If it takes a DL stint, then a DL stint it should be, whatever it takes to get Upton back healthy. He'll be missed, but given the team has gone 7-3 with a one-handed Upton, I think we should be okay.

Tonight's line-up - which we might want to get used to - and other thoughts after the jump. Marc gets his first outing of the season on the recap.

  1. Willie Bloomquist SS
  2. Gerardo Parra RF
  3. Chris Young CF
  4. Miguel Montero C
  5. Jason Kubel LF
  6. Ryan Roberts 3B
  7. Lyle Overbay 1B
  8. Aaron Hill 2B
  9. Ian Kennedy P

We'll be at the park tonight, with edbigghead and ed Sr. Well, "we" as in, Mrs. SnakePit first needs to escape fromauto-mechanic hell, where she is currently located, waiting for repairs to be completed. Fixing one issue somehow broke the clamps that hold the transmission in [I may not quite be accurate on the technical details of that description], and so parts for that had to be obtained. The repair she was assured would be completed by 2pm, is still ongoing. We hope to rendezvous with her at Chase Field...at some point this evening. Soothing Cold Stone will be provided a little after that.
