There are still some sweet free-agents available, including the top prizes, who are likely starting pitcher Zach Greinke and outfielder Josh Hamilton. There could be a freeway bidding war between the Dodgers and Angels for Greinke, but opinion seems to suggest that Hamilton could end up making his way back to Texas. That's just the tip of an iceberg, which has something for every team and every budget - though not, perhaps, for every fan of every team!
If you're looking to keep up (and don't have to worry about work - or if you're the boss!), MLB Network will be airing more than 25 hours of live coverage from Nashville, starting each day at 7am Arizona time with two hours of Hot Stove Live, in which co-hosts Matt Vasgersian and Harold Reynolds will report on any news which broke overnight, and analyze any breaking stories. At 1pm Arizona time, flagship show MLB Tonight takes the air, with hosts Greg Amsinger, Brian Kenny and Matt Yallof, They get to take a break at 3pm, as Kevin Millar and and Chris Rose take over for an hour of Intentional Talk, before MLB Tonight comes back again at 4pm for another two hours of coverage.
Let the games commence!
Jack Magruder is first up of the Arizona reporters:
#Dbacks still talking to Texas about Upton, but source says there is "nothing there" at this time. Andrus, Profar still targets

However, Buster Olney still thinks a trade is likely:
The Diamondbacks are said to be one of the most aggressive teams here so far... Execs with other teams have thought they will trade J.Upton.

Ken Rosenthal goes into more depth than 140 characters, and mentions that the Rangers' Jurickson Profar has been shut down in the Dominican Winter League due to forearm inflammation. They say it's not serious, but... Rosenthal says "The D-backs, according to sources, continue to insist that the Rangers part with shortstop Elvis Andrus. The Rangers have been reluctant to make such a deal... The Diamondbacks also need a third baseman and would like to add a top-of-the-rotation starter. The Rangers could offer another prospect, Mike Olt, and possibly left-hander Derek Holland — but won’t move Holland unless they add Greinke or another starting pitcher first."
A quick note from Steve Gilbert:
Spotted #Dbacks broadcaster Darron Sutton in the lobby here.

The Diamondbacks have made a signing:
The 31-year-old has a career 78 OPS+ in 483 major-league games; I'm thinking Reno roster filler.#Dbacks have signed OF Jeremy Reed to a contract and invited him to Spring Training.
