Since everyone else seems to have forgotten there was a game today, I was going to join the crowd and throw up a thread around 8:30pm. I don't know why this contest is proving so elusive: I think it's probably because the rest of the series is filled with celebrations commemorating the 10th anniversary of our World Series victory [Padres fans are welcome to enjoy vicariously this novel experience for them] But tonight, there are no fireworks, giveaways or special guests. Just Ian Kennedy going for his 19th win.

Lefty on the mound; no Gerardo Parra, but Miggy will try to extend his hitting streak. Might be tough, as he is batting only .188 against southpaws this year, compared to over .300 against right-handers. Explains why this will only be his 18th game of the year where he is in the line-up against a left-handed opposing starter. It's Arizona's 41st such contest this season. Young back in play too: we'll see how that goes.
