Jarrod Parker
RHP, 0-0, N/A

Well, I think tonight's game will be watched with unusual interest, marking as it does, the major-league debut of our first-round pick from 2007. His journey to the majors was via Tommy John surgery, but he seems to have made a good recovery from this, and so tonight might be seen as a taste of what to expect when he (in all likelihood) joins the D-backs starting rotation permanently next year. Anything less than a perfect game, with 27 strikeouts, will be viewed with bitter, bitter disappointment. :-)

  1. Willie Bloomquist SS
  2. Gerardo Parra LF
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Miguel Montero C
  5. Chris Young CF
  6. Lyle Overbay 1B
  7. Geoff Blum 3B
  8. Ryan Roberts 2B
  9. Jarrod Parker RHP

Good to see Upton back in the line-up, hopefully no effects from his beaning. No word on whether Parker is on any kind of pitch-count or innings-based limitations for this start, we'll just see how things play out. In the other games of interest: Braves getting hammered by the Phillies, Cardinals one down against the Astros (and threatening to score more), and the Brewers one versus the Pirates. Get us the W, Jarrod....
