The current D-backs pitching staff should be proud. Over the last complete turn through the rotation they have allowed a total of just four runs. That's something not managed since Sep. 10-14, 1999, when a rotation of Randy Johnson, Andy Benes, Todd Stottlemyre, Omar Daal and Brian Anderson, held Philadelphia and Pittsburgh to three runs in five games. It was never done with the big two of RJ and Curt Schilling in town, or when Brandon Webb and Dan Haren anchored the rotation. Ace Kennedy takes the mound today, and if we can hold San Diego to one run this afternoon, it'll be a new team record for a six-game streak, breaking the previous best of six runs, set in August 2001.

  1. Ryan Roberts 3B
  2. Aaron Hill 2B
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Chris Young CF
  5. Paul Goldschmidt 1B
  6. Miguel Montero C
  7. Collin Cowgill LF
  8. John McDonald SS
  9. Ian Kennedy RHP

Be nice to finish off the sweep: I am optimistic we can do so, and keep the pressure on the Giants - who will no doubt be involved in another 2-1 game against the Astros this afternoon. I believe it's blank_98 on the recap, but I haven't had a confirmation on that as yet, so we'll see!
