Two bad defeats in a row for Snake, and they're limping, not running, toward the post-season. Wolf swept pitching, with two Wins for Lester and 15 K's by Floyd; Rivera saved three. Cordero saved three for AZ too, while both Willingham and Moreland had three HRs for them.
Alabama Slammers 5, Mizzoula Osprey 5
If this is a taste of the championship, it'll be a cracker, with most categories close, e.g. HR by one, RBI by two, BA by .014. Slammers piled up 82 K's, behind 19 from Halladay; Gonzalez and Luebke each got a W + 13 K. Morrow got a W + 12 K for Mizzoula, while on offense, Braun scored nine Runs and homered twice; Kinsler also has two HR.
Blonde Streaks 7, Ignatius J. Rallies 2
A solid win kept Streaks' post-season hopes alive. They took all five hitting points, batting .319, with Gordon (two HR, nine RBI) leading them, though the Rallies had Hitter of the Week Stanton (four HR, six RBI). They also got a W + 15 K from Gallardo. Bumgarner fanned 10 for Blone.
Lady Gaga Regatta 6, The Fighting Amish 4
Lady are making a push to avoid the drop, having gone 19-10 in the last three weeks, this time beating 4th-placed Amish. They had a 1.93 team ERA, and hit .308. Martinez and Hunter each had two HR and six RBI. Greinke got a W + eight K for the Amish, who used fourteen different pitchers.
Sofa King Juiced 8, Los Wailoracles 1
Sofa had their best win of the year, sweeping hitting as they hit .322, Ramirez giving them three HR and nine RBI. Kimbrel saved three and fanned nine for them. Zimmerman went deep three times for Los, and Axford saved three, but strikeouts was their only victory in this contest.
warlords 2, Phoenix Platypi 7
The Platypi hung on to fifth by the smallest possible margin, despite a slew of injuries. Gonzalez had three HR and 11 RBI, and Martin three HR and seven RBI. Sanchez got a W + 10 strikeouts. war hit .213 with just 10 RBI; Rodriguez (W + eight K) was their top performer here.
Lil Bitches 9, Whooping Zoidbergs 0
Lil are in the last post-season spot, and beat up on Whooping, coming within one W of a clean sweep. Molina and Votto each homered three times, and Fielder drove in nine for them; Rasmus had a two HR, seven RBI week for the Zoidbergs. Leake fanned ten for them; Davis eight for Lil.
