SnakePit's pitching fell apart, allowing the Osprey an easy win, despite a lackluster 4.56 team ERA. Cordero (AZ) and Santos (Mizzoula) each saved three. At the plate, Osprey's Kemp was great all round, scoring seven runs, hitting two HR, driving in five, batting .385 and stealing three bases.
Alabama Slammers 4, Ignatius J. Rallies 6
The Slammers secured a post-season spot, but have only one win in four weeks. The Rallies piled up 63 K's, Haren's 11 leading them there. Valverde notched three Sv for Alabama, who had Hitter of the Week Bruce (five HR, 15 RBI), but Bourn (four SB, .308 BA) secured victory for Ignatius.
Blonde Streaks 2, The Fighting Amish 8
The Amish swept pitching, and look likely to return to the playoffs as a result. Farnsworth and Isringhausen each got a Sv and a vulture W for them, and Vazquez fanned ten, while Uggla had three HR and seven RBI. Verlander got a W and 10 strikeouts for Blonde, who will need to do better going forward.
Lady Gaga Regatta 4, Whooping Zoidbergs 5
Whooping picked up their first victory since Week 11, but remain in last place. They edged Lady in BA by .002, and SB ended level. Upton and Ortiz each had three homers for them, while Lady countered with two HR and eight RBI from Cabrera. Hudson (Lady) got a W + seven K's.
Bad Wolf 1, Los Wailoracles 8
Wolf took a hammering and dropped out of the top six as a result, but having played three DL players, have only themselves to blame. Pena and Tulowitzki homered two for Los, and got a W and nine strikeouts from Cueto. Lee notched a Win and ten K's for Wolf's losing cause.
Sofa King Juiced 4, Phoenix Platypi 6
Phoenix edged this game with post-season implications, getting a W and three Sv from Putz, as well as a W + 12 K's out of Harrison. Garza fanned 14 for Sofa, a W + 10 K from Lincecum and Markakis drove in nine runs; Phoenix countered with three HR and seven RBI from Gonzalez.
warlords 3, Lil Bitches 6
Lil moved back up into a play-off slot, behind Pitcher of the Week Vogelsong, who got a Win and 16 strikeouts. Marmol picked up four Sv and, at the plate, Granderson had five HR and eight RBI. war also had eight driven in by Howard, while Papelbon gave them three scoreless Saves.

Slammers vs. Osprey pits two teams who are already assured of playing into September, and could be a trial run for the championship. Slammers have, as noted above, struggled of late, and will find a stern test in the shape of Osprey, who have won 12 in a row. However, Slammers were the last team to defeat them, back in week 7: can they do it again?
