Road series victory: check. Even though last night's win broke the string of blow-outs, it still looks exactly the same in the standings. But it's important to finish off the Padres this afternoon, and keep the pressure on the Giants, who will start their game in Philadelphia as the Diamondbacks make their way to the shuttle-bus. But taking this one is the only thing we need to worry about. Of late, our pitching has been excellent, with only seven runs allowed over the past four games; Hudson's last outing wasn't up to much, so he needs to prove that was an aberration, and keep the wheels rolling.

No TV today though, so outside of those listening on the old-school device for converting electromagnetic waves into audio frequencies, we'll all be going "Wait? What just happened?" to Gameday.

  1. Kelly Johnson 2B
  2. Gerardo Parra LF
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Miguel Montero C
  5. Chris Young CF
  6. Brandon Allen 1B
  7. Cody Ransom SS
  8. Ryan Roberts 3B
  9. Daniel Hudson RHP

Parra back in the line-up, but Willie Bloomquist gets the day-off, with Ransom taking over at short.
