SnakeBytes 7/20: Moving Day Edition

Okay, so some roster changes since I started typing this up. Other threads to discuss those, though, so here's what else is going on in the DBacks world today.

Recaps:

• [AZ Central] Barry Enright, Arizona Diamondbacks routed by Milwaukee Brewers - The game started off on the wrong foot, and just never really recovered- it was already 3-0 by the time the channel changed.

• [Dbacks.com] Homers spoil Enright's return to D-backs - "It wasn't the start Barry Enright hoped for." And our award for understatement of the day goes to....

• [FS Arizona] Rough outing for Enright, Diamondbacks - Yeah, it didn't really stop at Enright, either. That outing from Brazoban was just ugly to watch- hey, but at least his ERA won't suffer, thanks to Micah Owings. But I guess we won't be worrying about seeing Yhency out there any more.

• [JSOnline] Tuesday game report: Brewers at Diamondbacks - Seriously? Two home runs to Yunieski Betancourt?

In a way, I'll miss Yhency Brazoban. Yhency just fun to say and/or type. Yhency, Yhency, Yhency. Aw.

• [The D-blog] Starting pitching vital to D-backs’ success - Which is pretty much why I'm still nervous about this team some days.

• [Venom Strikes] Dbacks Needs - Obviously, we have some holes to fill on the team...

• [DBacks Venom] Diamondbacks Top 5 Trade Targets - ...so who might they make a move for? Here are a few names. Maybe not all of them are likely, but at least gives us something to consider.

• [AZ Central] David Hernandez has been dominant as Arizona Diamondbacks' fill-in closer - More praise for Hernandez. He has certainly been a boon to our relief corps this year, even if some of us worry about him being overworked.

• [DBacks.com] Roberts swinging hot bat since break - Gibby on the Dread Pirate: "I can relate to that. I love his eagerness, his desire, determination and the way he plays." I think we all love that about him.

Around Baseball:

• [FanGraphs] Justin Masterson’s (Almost) All-Fastball Dominance - 104 pitches, 103 fastballs, all for 8 scoreless innings. Why even throw anything else?

• [ESPN] Boston Red Sox will play New York Yankees on Fenway Park's 100th anniversary, according to a source - It's unconfirmed that several ESPN executives spontaneously combusted out of pure excitement upon hearing this news. I do expect them to have countdown clock starting in roughly the next three days.

• [HardballTalk] Reds prospect Jonathan Correa suspended one year for lying about age - A one year suspension for lying about your age, but 50 games for steroids? Does that seem strange to anyone else?

• [Baseball Nation] Tropicana Field Turning Against Tropicana Field - Like many residents of Florida, Tropicana Field may be old, cranky, and wanting those damn kids to stay of the lawn.
