Man, that Kuroda really sucks. I mean, he has lost ten games already, so he's obviously an awful pitcher. Not quite. Half those defeats have come in his seven starts since the start of June, over which time he is 1-5 with a 2.32 ERA, because the Dodgers have scored a total of fifteen runs over those contests. In fact, throw in six more starts before that, taking you back to the last one in April, and in those 13 games, Los Angeles has give Kuroda a total of just 29 runs of support. So, the Dodgers clearly don't bother scoring runs for him. That'll help.

After having taking a rather contentious strike three last night to end the game, with the tying run on base, Allen gets a chance to achieve redemption this evening at Chase. Also getting his first start of the season, on the opposite side of the infield, will be Blum. The Diamondbacks now sit 4.5 games back of the Giants, and can ill afford to lose much more ground. Kennedy would be the man to deliver. wailord on the recap, assuming he wakes up in time!
