Over at South Side Sox, they've got a good article looking at the Jackson for Hudson trade. It's gloomy from their point of view, making it great for us, as it points out, "The Diamondbacks have Hudson for four more years after this; Jackson is a free agent after earning $8.35 million this year. Making matters more concerning, the Sox had to throw in another arm to seal the deal. And said arm is making headlines in the minors." That would be David Holmberg and his 27-inning scoreless streak. Not bad for a 19-year old. While the White Sox are here, maybe we should see if they have any other pitching prospects they need to offload.

  1. Kelly Johnson 2B
  2. Stephen Drew SS
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Chris Young CF
  5. Miguel Montero C
  6. Juan Miranda 1B
  7. Ryan Roberts 3B
  8. Gerardo Parra LF
  9. Daniel Hudson RHP

Shurely shome mishtake? For that - with the exception of Hudson replacing Kennedy - would be exactly the same line-up as yesterday. That's kind of a rarity give that, over the first seventy games, Gibson used 46 different line-ups, and that's entirely excluding the pitcher's spot. Ten different players have started games in the #7 spot, five of them to be found in tonight's line-up [basically, everyone bar Drew, Upton or Young]. But it's just nice to see what I consider our best line-up, out there two nights in a row.

Bonus guest recap time! 'charmer is off at the Power Soccer Nationals, so Brian MacKinney will be making his debut in that capacity this evening. Hopefully he'll have something pleasant to write about. In 14 appearances at Chase, Edwin Jackson's ERA is 5.23, so here's hoping that continues, even though he's now back in the visitor's locker-room.
