The difference between a 3-4 road-trip and a 4-3 one is significant, and a win this afternoon would tip the D-backs' journey through Pittburgh and Miami from the former into the latter. It would also give the team a three-game winning streak to take back home, where the Giants are probably already waiting for them [memo to MLB and Marlins' schedulers: way to go, an East-coast evening game with no off-day to follow. Aren't there rules against this sort of thing?] Anyway, the team will try and get this one in quickly: a 40% chance of rain, which made the last couple of innings miserable yesterday...

  2. Kelly Johnson 2B
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Stephen Drew SS

  7. Juan Miranda 1B
  8. Gerardo Parra LF
  9. Zach Duke LHP

Good to see the A-lineup out there in full force, which makes me optimistic. As noted in this week's round-table we have only seen the team score more than six runs on the road twice since doing so in Colorado in Opening Day; they've averaged only four per game there, compared to 5.2 in Phoenix. However, victory in Florida would also even the Diamondbacks' road record at 17-17, which is not bad, considering they only won seven of their first 20. Duke has had two good starts and one poor one. However, in seven starts against the Marlins, he is 0-5 with a 6.49 ERA: hopefully he can break that streak tonight.
