Back home after a thoroughly successful road-trip, Scale Wars break out at Chase tonight, as the Snakes take on the Fish. Florida currently occupy the wild-card spot in the National League, so these three games provide a good measure against which to test your new, improved Arizona Diamondbacks. We miss Josh Johnson, and are all terribly upset about that. My thought on the pitching match-ups is that we have a clear edge on Wednesday, a slight one today, and Tuesday is too close to call, so I'm hoping for two out of three.

Apparently, Elias says we are the first team history to enjoy being in first place in May, after coming in to the month 6.5 or more games back. However, we need to make sure we stay there, as the Giants are currently winning in St. Louis. If that holds up, it would bring them back level with us, before we start play in Phoenix.

  1. Kelly Johnson 2B

Memorial Day today, which is always a good show on Fox Sports Arizona, with the messages to the troops from their families here. It's a sharp reality check to be reminded that, while we sit here in comfort, whining about trivial things like baseball, the men and women of the armed forces are putting their lives on the line, on our behalf. Take a moment in your day to pause, and think of them and their service.
