Suggestions for the recap title tonight are welcome. Probably something involving "Duke". Pretty sure I can trust you people to bring your A-game, I just hope we can say the same about Zach, as he makes his first appearance in a Diamondbacks jersey since his spring was brought to an abrupt end by a sharp comebacker that hit and broke his hand. As I wrote at the time, "OMG! There will never be a perfect storm like this again! We must immediately equip all pitchers with protective screens and armored gauntlets to prevent such tragedies!" #noIdidn'tohwaitthisisn'tTwitter

No Upton in the line-up today: he has appeared in all the games to this point, so if there's no pinch-hit appearance, it'll leave only Young as an ever-present this season. Upton does seem to have been pressing of late, he has four hits in his last 31 at-bats, and also made some mental errors in the field. We need to him to play to his potential if the Diamondbacks are to remain in this thing, so a mental-health day is probably no bad idea. It's not as if we have to start Melvin Mora as a result....
It's odd to be scoreboard watching with over 100 games left, but that's exactly what I've been doing this afternoon, as the Giants take on the Brewers. At time of writing, it's locked up at two in the eighth inning, with a delay caused by, of all things, an injured umpire. [OMG! There will never be a perfect storm like this again! We must immediately, etc. etc. You know the drill] Go, Brewers.
