Gameday Thread, #43: 5/19 vs. Braves

Jair Jurrjens
RHP, 5-0, 1.66

RHP, 2-0, 0.90

Yesterday, we had two starters who hadn't yet won this season - indeed, one of them had not seen a W by his name in his major-league career [no, silly - not Joe Saunders, though it seems that long since he last won...] Today, it's the absolute reverse: two starters who haven't lost this season - one of whom has never been tagged with an L in his major-league career. Last night, both starters left with a no-decision, keeping their records intact. Will the same thing happen tonight?

  1. Ryan Roberts 3B
  2. Kelly Johnson 2B
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Stephen Drew SS
  5. Chris Young CF
  6. Miguel Montero C
  7. Juan Miranda 1B
  8. Gerardo Parra LF
  9. Josh Collmenter RHP

Still no room for Willie Bloomquist or Sean Burroughs in the line-up - the latter is not much of a surprise, but I am a bit shocked they haven't got Bloomquist back in, given he much of a sparkplug he was. On the other hand, Roberts did pretty well at the top of the order yesterday, and Gerardo Parra hardly disgraced himself, so benching either of those for Bloomquist would be a bit unfair.

Better get this posted before 'charmer starts lobbing sarcasm this way again. :-)
