After our initial excursion into the frozen wastelands of Denver and Chicago, it's back to warmer climes. Particularly if you're near the large blaze which broke out this afternoon in a recycling plant at 35th Avenue and Lincoln. You can smell it all the way downtown at time of writing, so if you're catching the game, that's what it is, rather than our bullpen having spontaneously combusted. Though that might happen tonight anyway, going up against a team that has averaged 7.5 runs per game to date, best in the NL...

  1. Willie Bloomquist LF
  2. Kelly Johnson 2B
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Chris Young CF
  5. Stephen Drew SS
  6. Xavier Nady 1B
  7. Miguel Montero C
  8. Melvin Mora 3B
  9. Ian Kennedy RHP

Bloomquist's versatility helps keep him in the line-up, even with the return of Drew, who makes his first start of the 2011 campaign. Willie simply shifts to LF, replacing Parra due to the left-handed opposing starter. We get to see Xavier Nady at 1B again - yeah, that'll help Juan Miranda's development. Wood was very solid in his opener, allowing one run in seven innings, while Kennedy allowed three in six innings on our Opening Fay. Wood is 1-1 with a 3.17 ERA in two starts, which Kennedy has never faced the Reds, managing to avoid them entirely in the seven times we met Cincinnati last year.
